RiseONRx connects eligible adults in Canada with licensed Canadian physicians online for weight management. You complete a private online assessment, a physician reviews it, and if treatment is prescribed it’s dispensed and delivered discreetly by a licensed partner pharmacy.

RiseONRx does not bill OHIP and does not bill insurers directly. You pay privately for any medication dispensed by our partner pharmacy. Whether part of your medication cost is covered depends on your insurer, your benefits plan, and the medication prescribed, so confirm your coverage with your benefits provider before you start. If you need documentation for a benefits claim, contact support@riseonrx.ca and we will arrange what the dispensing pharmacy can provide.

Every assessment is reviewed by a physician licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). No algorithm makes clinical decisions — a real physician reviews your case personally.

Your data is handled in compliance with PHIPA and PIPEDA. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell or share your personal health information with third parties for advertising purposes.

Eligibility is a clinical decision made by the reviewing physician, and not everyone who completes the assessment will be a suitable candidate. You’re only charged if a physician approves treatment — so if treatment isn’t appropriate for you, you’ll be notified and you won’t be charged. This reflects your suitability for this specific service only and isn’t a complete evaluation of your health, so we encourage you to follow up with your family doctor or primary care provider about other options.

RiseONRx provides virtual care to eligible adults in Canada. Your assessment is reviewed by a licensed Canadian physician, and we confirm your location as part of the assessment.

RiseONRx is designed primarily for virtual care. A physician may determine that an in-person examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic testing, or other in-person care is needed before treatment can begin or continue. If that applies to you, your physician will tell you.

Ongoing prescribing and renewals are subject to clinical review. Your clinician may require updated health information, monitoring, testing, or follow-up before continuing or changing treatment. Refills are not automatic.

Assessments are reviewed by physicians registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. You can see their names and CPSO registration numbers on our medical team page, and the physician responsible for your care is identified to you in your patient account before your first virtual encounter.

Completing the initial health assessment takes most people about 10 to 15 minutes. A physician reviews your submission after that. We do not publish a review turnaround time — how quickly your case is reviewed depends on physician availability and whether anything in your assessment needs following up. You will be notified once the review is complete.
