Is RiseONRx right for you?

Our program may be appropriate if you identify with any of the following. A physician will confirm eligibility during your assessment.

  • You are an adult living in Ontario
  • You have been struggling with weight management despite lifestyle efforts
  • You want access to physician-supervised care from home
  • You have a BMI of 27 or higher (especially with a related health condition) or 30 or higher
  • You are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding

This may not be the right fit if...

  • You are currently pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding
  • You have certain medical conditions that affect eligibility (your assessment will screen for these)
  • You are under 18 years of age
  • You are currently outside Ontario

RiseONRx is a Canadian telehealth platform that connects adults with licensed physicians for comprehensive, physician-supervised weight management programs. Our physicians review your complete health profile and determine the most appropriate care pathway for your individual situation.

No. RiseONRx is a virtual care service. Your assessment, physician review, and any follow-ups happen online, and any prescribed treatment is delivered to your door within Ontario.

After your assessment, a licensed Canadian physician reviews your full health profile and determines the most appropriate pathway for you. Every clinical decision is made by a physician — there is no one-size-fits-all plan.

Your assessment is free — you only pay if a physician approves treatment. The RiseONRx care plan is $149 for your first month, then from $199/month, and includes your prescribed medication, physician oversight, and discreet shipping. You'll always see the full price before any charge, and we confirm your price before any change.

The assessment is completely free. If a physician determines that treatment is not appropriate based on your assessment, you pay nothing and we'll explain why.

RiseONRx is a private-pay service and does not bill insurance directly. Some private plans may reimburse eligible weight-management treatment — coverage varies, so we recommend confirming with your insurer. We can provide a receipt for your claim.

Physician consultations through RiseONRx are not covered by OHIP. Some extended health benefit plans may cover portions of the program — we recommend checking with your insurer. We provide receipts suitable for benefits claims where applicable.

Every assessment is reviewed by a physician licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). No algorithm makes clinical decisions — a real physician reviews your case personally.

Your data is handled in compliance with PHIPA and PIPEDA. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell or share your personal health information with third parties for advertising purposes.

Not everyone who completes the assessment will be a clinical candidate for every treatment option. If your physician determines that our current program isn’t appropriate for you, we’ll explain why and, where possible, suggest alternative pathways or resources.

We’re launching in Ontario first. Expansion to additional provinces depends on physician licensing in those jurisdictions. Join the waitlist and select your province — we’ll notify you when we expand to your area.

The initial health assessment takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. After submission, a physician reviews your case within 24 hours on business days.
