Is RiseONRx right for you?

  • You have certain medical conditions that affect eligibility (your assessment will screen for these)

Common questions

RiseONRx connects eligible adults in Canada with licensed Canadian physicians online for weight management. You complete a private online assessment, a physician reviews your complete health profile and determines the most appropriate care pathway, and if treatment is prescribed it’s dispensed and delivered discreetly by a licensed partner pharmacy.

RiseONRx is designed primarily for virtual care — your assessment, physician review, and follow-ups happen online. A physician may determine that an in-person examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic testing, or other in-person care is needed before treatment can begin or continue.

After your assessment, a licensed Canadian physician reviews your full health profile and determines the most appropriate pathway for you. Every clinical decision is made by a physician — there is no one-size-fits-all plan.

Orders start from CAD $149. Your total depends on the treatment the physician prescribes and on any additional items you choose to add to your order. When you check out we place a pre-authorization hold on your card for the amount shown; a hold is not a charge. Your card is only charged if the treating physician approves treatment. You'll always see the full price before any charge, and we confirm your price before any change.

If a physician determines that treatment is not appropriate for you, the pre-authorization hold on your card is released and you are not charged. Completing an assessment or providing payment information does not guarantee a prescription or any specific treatment.

RiseONRx does not bill OHIP and does not bill insurers directly. You pay privately for any medication dispensed by our partner pharmacy. Whether part of your medication cost is covered depends on your insurer, your benefits plan, and the medication prescribed, so confirm your coverage with your benefits provider before you start. If you need documentation for a benefits claim, contact support@riseonrx.ca and we will arrange what the dispensing pharmacy can provide.

RiseONRx provides virtual care to eligible adults in Canada. Your assessment is reviewed by a licensed Canadian physician, and we confirm your location as part of the assessment.

RiseONRx is designed primarily for virtual care. A physician may determine that an in-person examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic testing, or other in-person care is needed before treatment can begin or continue. If that applies to you, your physician will tell you.

Ongoing prescribing and renewals are subject to clinical review. Your clinician may require updated health information, monitoring, testing, or follow-up before continuing or changing treatment. Refills are not automatic.

Assessments are reviewed by physicians registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. You can see their names and CPSO registration numbers on our medical team page, and the physician responsible for your care is identified to you in your patient account before your first virtual encounter.

Completing the initial health assessment takes most people about 10 to 15 minutes. A physician reviews your submission after that. We do not publish a review turnaround time — how quickly your case is reviewed depends on physician availability and whether anything in your assessment needs following up. You will be notified once the review is complete.
